πŸ†˜Dangerous EU-ACP trade treaty to be signed Nov 15 2023🚨

Last year (2022), you may recall seeing viral videos and articles of the Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa making a firm stand against the Homosexuality and Abortion. It was during the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly in Maputo 2022 that the Deputy Speaker of Parliament boldly emphasized that African Values were not for sale and that the Ugandan Parliament would be never domesticate/approve the EU-ACP Trade Treaty as long as it promoted Homosexuality and abortion and other harmful practices, a stand which was affirmed by legislators from Jamaica, Bahamas, Trinidad, Tobago, Sierra Leone, Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Ghana, Mali, who contested the problematic provisions of that EPA.

That notwithstanding, Treaty is due to be signed during the 46th session of the ACP-EU Council of Ministers on November 15 2023 in Apia, Samoa with all the dangerous provisions there in.

The Treaty, if ratified in its current form, will legally, for 20 years, bind all African, Caribbean, and Pacific states to advance Homosexuality, Abortion, Prostitution, Pornography among other harmful practices.

The Treaty promotes comprehensive sexuality education and Sexual and reproductive health and Rights.

Family Watch International, an ECOSOC Accredited Organisation with consultative status at the UN, developed an Evaluation Tool to analyze and found out that there are 15 Harmful Elements typically found in Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) curricula, such as promoting homosexuality, abortion, masturbation and condom use in children among others.

According to (WHO, 2015) Sexual Health, Human Rights and the Law , Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights has proved to be a trojan horse for Abortion (Pg 1 Executive Summary), Homosexuality (Pg 1 Executive Summary, Pg 21, 3.4.2 – Marital Status, Pg 14, 3.1- Introduction), Prostitution (Pg 28, 3.4.10-People engaged in sex work)

The EU Parliament's adopted Matic Report revealed that SRHR included Abortion (J,Pg 9/39), Homosexuality (B, Pg 7/39)

Let's alert the President not Sign but subject the EU-ACP Post-Cotonou Partnership Agreement to be debated by the Parliament before it is signed because of the many potential issues that could undermine national laws.

If you have some access to the President, minister of foreign affairs or trade, alert him to act in the best interest of our children and families.

Should contraceptives be given to Adolescents?

In 2017, it came to light through the media (Monitor Newspaper headlines on February 9, 2017) that arrangements were being made to give 10 year olds contraceptives as a way of preventing teenage pregnancy, abortion and keeping girls in school. Efforts were called upon and we defeated the evil agenda.

In December 2021, Hon. Akello Lucy (Amuru WMP) laid three P.6 Science text books before the floor of Parliament, that taught pupils on Abortion and contraceptives.

On October 10 2023, the Daily Monitor Newspaper published a headline 'Girls to get birthcontrol from age 15 in new plan',

Proponents of the sexual revolution have fronted Comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRH(R)) i.e. Family Planning; contraceptives, condoms, abortion with a claim to curb Teen Pregnancy. "Children are already sexually active, so let’s give them Contraceptives and Condoms for ‘safe’ sex", is a common rhetoric in their aggressive marketing of their contraceptives and condoms to our children

If children are indeed sexually active, that is an awful thing to hear. But would giving them contraceptives and condoms be of any help? If your child is smoking, do you encourage them to continue ‘safe’ smoking? If your child is stealing? Do you encourage him/her to do ‘safe’ stealing? If your child cheats exams, do you encourage him/her to do ‘safe’ cheating?

If a child is sexually active, it's a disgrace to such a parent. In some African culture, if a daughter was not found to be a virgin, the Parents would be summoned and given hollow coins. Children being sexually active is not a child’s issue, it is a parenting issue.

Any child who sexually active is synonymous of these things; An absentee Father, Polygamous family, Early exposure to Pornography, Exposure to explicit graphics, images or videos from the Media/TV e.g Schemes of Kissing, Romance, Sex in Movies, Initiation by peers or some monstrous neighbors/relatives who even end up abusing them sexually. There is need to deal with the root cause of the issue rather than the symptom.

Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)[1] proponents downplay the harms of teenage sex. They teach that it’s okay for teens to have sex if risk reduction methods are used. Let’s explore what research shows:

STDs & HIV. Worldwide, young people aged 15–24 account for nearly one-half of all new HIV infections. Globally, more than 1 million new STD infections occur each day, and youth are especially vulnerable. The effects of STDs can range from bacterial infections to death. Prevalence estimates suggest that young people aged 15–24 years acquire half of all new STDs and that 1 in 4 sexually active adolescent females has an STD.

Education and Poverty.  Single mothers, especially teenaged single mothers, are much less likely to complete their education or achieve their career goals. They (and their children) are also much more likely to live in poverty. More than 6 in 7 teen births are to single girls, a circumstance which is a well-documented predictor for poverty. Just as condoms cannot provide complete protection against STDs, no contraceptive device or method can provide complete protection against unplanned pregnancies. e.g in the U.S Teen pregnancy is the highest among industrialized nations and especially high in minority populations. Teen pregnancy leads to lower education and higher poverty for single teen mothers, higher crime, addiction or teen pregnancy for their children, a self-repeating destructive cycle.

Emotional Harm and Violence. Detrimental psychological effects. Teenage sexual activity decreases emotional health (higher risk for depression, suicide, regret, etc.) and Leads to higher rates of dating violence. A teen pregnancy often brings emotional stress to both the girl and the boy involved, related to teen parenthood, limited education, poverty, adoption or abortion. Sexually active teenagers are more likely to be depressed and attempt suicide. E.g in the US, one 2013 study found that overall, adolescent females with no sexual partners were significantly less likely to report measures of poor mental health than those who have had 1, 2, or 3 or more sexual partners. Similarly, girls who reported 3 or more partners were significantly more likely to report sadness, suicide ideation, suicide plans and attempts than those with fewer partners.

Lower academic achievement. Generally, sexually active teens have lower GPAs, more disciplinary problems and were less likely to attend college. Compared with virgins, teens who have casual sex had lower GPAs, cared less about school and experienced more problems in school. Teens who have sex were at higher risk of being truant and dropping out compared with teens who don’t have sex. A number of studies have shown that teenagers who abstain from sex are more likely to graduate from high school and attend college than their sexually active peers.

The Economic Costs. The US CDC estimates that there are 20 million new annual STDs, 110 million total infections with a total of $16 billion in medical costs. STDs among teens incur $4.5 billion in tax-payer funded expenses annually. Taxpayers save up to $19,000 every time a teen chooses abstinence and avoids pregnancy and STDs, with the potential of a cumulative savings of $11 billion per year.

As Christian Marriage Counselor, who conducts both Pre and Post Marital Counseling, we have had to take couples through a special prayer session to break soul ties and spirit spouses that came in their lives due to earlier fornication. Many marriages are in distress/broken due to unbroken soul ties and spirit spouses.

Given the massive deleterious, economic and social effects of Teen Sex, the benefits of Sexual Purity cannot be downplayed.

I conclude and say that according to the promoters of CSE, Contraceptives and Condoms, the Issue is not the issue, the issue is the sexual revolution; sexual Anarchy, Immorality=chaos=government needs to come in and rule over the people lead by just a few individuals=socialism =communism

Schemes of the Homosexual mercenary in Africa

It is critical to differentiate between homosexual activists who are trying to force their lifestyle on others and homosexuals who are not trying to force their lifestyle on anyone.

Homosexuals are people who experience same-sex attraction and who may or may not act on that attraction. Not all homosexuals, including some of those who choose to engage in homosexual sex, support the homosexual agenda.

Some homosexuals who act on their same-sex attraction openly and honestly admit that their lifestyle is not healthy, but they choose it anyway. Others have sought therapy and have successfully reoriented to heterosexuality, and some are even working to protect traditional marriage and the family.

In contrast, homosexual activists are people who are pushing an agenda to change our society by changing our laws and values. They are literally seeking to destroy the traditional family. Homosexual activists promote the homosexual agenda, which is a calculated, well-planned, well-organized and well-financed effort to mainstream homosexuality into our society by redefining marriage and family and indoctrinating our children about the homosexual lifestyle.

We can genuinely care about homosexuals and value them as individuals and still oppose the “homosexual agenda” which is not only harmful to society, but which is also harmful to homosexuals

The homosexual activists are the ones who are not content simply to “live and let live.” They are the ones who are deliberately and aggressively attempting to destroy all of society’s sexual norms and the essential social institutions—such as marriage and the family—which uphold them.

One of their ten strategies is to the "Bypass the People Strategy", where if they fail to get their agenda passed by a legislature or by a vote of the people, they resort to use the courts. In bypassing the legislature or the vote of the people and taking their cause straight to the courts, they can save time and money. It’s much easier to convince a few judges to mandate their agenda. Activists used this strategy to legalize same-sex marriage by judicial mandate in Massachusetts, Connecticut, California and Iowa. Another way to apply the Bypass the People Strategy is to get policies adopted in UN documents and then use the UN to pressure countries to change their laws.

Some African Countries were the the same strategy of the Homosexual Machinery is evident:

  1.  Malawi
  2. Ghana
  3. Namibia
  4. Uganda
  5. Eswatini
  6. Kenya

Some Policy documents that promote Homosexuality:

i.                        The EU-ACP Trade Treatyif ratified in its current form would lead to the automatic legalization of Abortion, Homosexuality, Prostitution, Pornography, and Parental, Cultural and Religious Persecution among others harms.

ii.                      The EAC SRH Bill 2021, if passed by the East African Legislative Assembly, will legalize Abortion, Homosexuality, Prostitution and other harmful practices and thus warrant the persecution of Parental rights, Religious Freedom and Cultural values

Another Avenue where Homosexuality is aggressively fronted is the UN Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group. Below are some of the recent UPR Recommendations given to Countries in order to boost their human rights situation:

When the Perpetrator plays the Victim

Rhetoric from the pro-homosexual activists is nearly always couched in terms of victims and oppressors.

Homosexuals cast themselves as a united coalition of sexual minorities who must band together against a common oppressor or be killed or harmed. The “oppressor” is the “homophobic” majority, which they separate in two groups: (1) hate-filled religious fanatics and other bigots, and (2) those who go along with “homophobic” attitudes out of ignorance.

The reason for accusing opponents of hating them is first, to put the opponents on the defensive, which gives them a psychological advantage in fighting for control of the culture, second to create sympathy and gain allies among non-homosexuals (especially young people), and third to preserve their own political unity by perpetrating a climate of fear among their members.

Homosexual activist organizations seek to recruit all young people to be their allies by styling themselves as victims needing protection. They take advantage of the humanitarian idealism of teenagers and young adults who are too immature to recognize that they are being manipulated.

It is not surprising that the same strategy has been deployed to derail Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023.

Amnesty Provision for Homosexuals?

Are homosexuals some sort of political rebels?

Wouldn’t that be a scape goat for most perpetrators?

Who is going to run/fund the so called Rehabilitation centers for ‘repented’ perpetrators?  Won’t they turn into some sort of perpetrators’ safe haven, where they continue from where they stopped? How will government ensure that the so called rehab centres won’t be funded/run by the same pro-homosexual NGOs that have been recruiting and sexually exploiting our minors through homosexuality?

Would that serve justice to a victim of aggravated homosexuality who suffers a disability, a mental illness, a killer disease, long-term illness or medical condition as a result of the abuse?

Won’t rapists and defilers among other criminals also demand the same sort of ‘repenters’ special treatment?

So what happens if such a perpetrator repeats the same criminal act, is Government going to adopt CHRIST JESUS’ model of 77 times of forgiveness?

Wouldn’t it be fair that the perpetrators face the due penalty for their actions? While the religious institutions and professional counselors support them while they are serving their sentence?

It is my prayer that the government of Uganda does not fall victim/prey to the well calculated and cynical tactic of being manipulated by the homosexual sophistry

The Case for the Traditional Family Structure

Social science research has conclusively proven that a strong family, based on marriage between a man and a woman, is the best environment for protecting, nourishing and developing individuals—this family structure provides significantly better outcomes than any other alternative.

There are specific social benefits called “social goods,” which flow from man/woman marriage. These social goods are derived from the complementary physical, emotional, and spiritual union of a male and a female.

The institution of man/woman marriage:

• Channels sexual relations in a manner that provides the greatest benefit to individuals and society.

• Helps men live more responsibly and productively.

• Transforms men into husbands/fathers and women into wives/mothers.

• Binds potential parents together to raise the biological children they create.

• Legally binds fathers to their biological children. (Mothers are always present at birth, but not so with fathers.)

• Provides the optimal environment in which to raise children.

• Generates the best outcomes in the areas of health, wealth and overall happiness for men, women and children.

Research findings illustrate that the “social goods” derived from man/woman marriage begin to disappear when individuals live outside of the married man/woman family structure. Studies show that any deviation from man/woman marriage generally results in serious negative outcomes for individuals and families. The evidence supporting this is remarkably consistent and compelling.

Outcomes According to Family Structure:

When compared to heterosexual men, men who engage in homosexual behavior:

• experience a significantly higher rate of domestic violence with their partners.

• are up to seven times more likely to attempt suicide.

• have a lower life expectancy by 20 to 30 years.

• have an incidence of HIV/AIDS that is up to 430 times higher.

• have three times the number of drug and alcohol dependencies.

• are significantly more promiscuous, with very few maintaining fidelity.

• are more than twice as likely to have an STD.

• are significantly more likely to engage in pedophilia.

• are much more likely to have mental and emotional disorders/illnesses.

• are at higher risk of deliberate self-harm.

When compared to heterosexual youth, youth who engage in homosexual behavior:

• are at increased risk of suffering major depression and generalized anxiety disorder.

• are associated with more school and runaway problems.

• are more likely to attempt suicide.

• experience a much higher rate of alcoholism.

• are more likely to engage in substance abuse.

• are more likely to engage in high-risk sexual behavior.

When compared to heterosexual women, lesbian women:

• are significantly more likely to be victims of domestic violence.

• experience a much higher rate of sexual coercion by their partner.

• are more likely to use drugs and alcohol.

• have a significantly higher risk of developing general anxiety disorder.

• are twice as likely to attempt suicide.

• are at higher risk for breast cancer.

• are at higher risk of deliberate self-harm.

Debunking the discrimination of Sodomites

What is discrimination?

Discrimination is the act of choosing among options. In the context of civil rights, discrimination means accepting or rejecting people based on criteria such as race or skin color.

Discrimination is a word whose political redefinition originated in the civil rights movement. In normal usage, discrimination is synonymous with discernment, but as used in a civil rights context it means irrational bias against a person. “Irrational” is the hidden qualifier in the term that distinguishes appropriate discernment from prejudice. In an enlightened society there can be no rational basis for discrimination on criteria such as race, skin color or ethnicity.

Discrimination against harmful conduct is entirely rational, and in many cases necessary. Discrimination is now synonymous with racial prejudice in the public mind. The homosexual movement has exploited this association to legitimize its own claims by adding itself to the list of minorities in anti-discrimination statutes.

Discrimination has been useful to homosexualists because the public is deeply conditioned to associate this term only with prejudice, especially racial prejudice. The solution is to add the qualifier “rational” or “irrational” to discrimination whenever one uses the term. At minimum this tactic causes the hearer to consider the significance of the qualifier. It also sets the stage for a discussion about the standard for determining what is rational vs. irrational discrimination.

Is it wrong to discriminate against homosexuality?

Discrimination based on sex, religion, tribe, race or skin color is morally wrong because there is no legitimate reason for it- the criteria is morally neutral and immutable. Such discrimination springs from irrational prejudice. However, homosexuality involves voluntary sexual conduct that has negative personal and social consequences. It is perfectly reasonable and responsible to discriminate against homosexuality on religious, moral, sociological and public health grounds.

What is tolerance?

For most people, “tolerance” means putting up with something we don’t like in order to serve the greater good of public civility.  Tolerance is therefore an essential virtue in a diverse society.  Homosexualists, however, use the term to mean total and unconditional acceptance of homosexuality in all of its aspects.  Anyone who disapproves of homosexual conduct is labeled intolerant, even those who treat self-defined homosexuals with the utmost courtesy and respect.

Abuse of language is a dangerous thing. The misuse of the term tolerance is a good example. For every person that gives in to political correctness to avoid being considered intolerant, there is another whose strong disapproval of homosexuality makes him or her willing to be considered intolerant. The latter may even begin to see intolerance as a virtue, since it appears necessary to be intolerant to stop the legitimization of sexual perversion.

As the homosexuals have proved, many people just don’t think clearly enough to understand why intolerance of race and intolerance of sexual perversion are different. This confusion serves the racists as easily as it serves the homosexuals. To reaffirm the true meaning of tolerance in the face of homosexual sophistry, point out that tolerance is relative. Some things deserve absolute tolerance and some things deserve zero tolerance but most fall somewhere in between. For example, our society should have high tolerance for freedom of speech but low tolerance for harmful behavior and conduct that damages the body and spreads disease. The tolerance a thing deserves is relative to the degree of benefit or harm that it may cause.

Human Rights Gone Awry: A Case of Uganda

Is Homosexuality a human Right or Human Wrong?

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights sets out the basic rights and freedoms of all men, women and children.

Uganda’s human rights record were examined by the UN Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group in January 2022, in a meeting that was live on UN Web TV  and over 30 Pro-Sodomy recommendations given to Uganda to boost its human rights situation, and gladly enough the Government of Uganda rejected all the problematic Recommendations except 125.178 Increase investment in the health system and infrastructure and ensure improvement in the equitable distribution and availability of sexual and reproductive health and childcare services (Fiji)

Regional and International Instruments, What do they say?

There is no regional or international human Rights instrument that obliges or binds signatory states to advance homosexuality.

Uganda is not signatory to any regional or international instruments that obliges it to advance Homosexuality

Moreover, the CCPR - International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, One of the core human rights instruments, clarifies that The right of men and women of marriageable age to marry and to found a family shall be recognized(Article 23(2)).

An attempt was made in December 2021, to adopt pro-sodomy language, when the UN General Assembly was adopting a resolution “Strengthening the role of the United Nations in the promotion of democratization and enhancing periodic and genuine elections” and Uganda made  reservations on the homosexuality related provisions.

Over time, the international community has developed and agreed upon certain basic principles which are now the cornerstone of understanding, interpreting and promoting human rights internationally, regionally and at national levels.

The principles are:

(a) Human rights are universal and inalienable

All human beings everywhere in the world are entitled to human rights by virtue of being human. Human rights are not specific to, or the preserve of, the people or a group of people. They are universal because every human being everywhere in the world is born with and entitled to the same rights. Human rights cannot be given up or taken away. They are inalienable.

(b) Human rights are indivisible

Whether the human rights are of a civil, cultural, economic, political or social nature, they all have equal status as rights since they are all inherent in the dignity of every human being. One right cannot be denied or restricted at the expense of another right since they are all equal.

(c) Human rights are inter-dependent and inter-related

The realisation, fulfilment or enjoyment of one human right often depends, wholly or in part, upon the realisation, fulfilment or enjoyment of other rights.

 (d) Equality and non-discrimination

All human beings are equal and entitled to their human rights without discrimination of any kind, on the grounds of race, colour, sex, ethnicity, age, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, disability, property, birth.

(e) Participation and inclusion

Every person, including children, and all peoples are entitled to active, free and meaningful participation in, contribution to, and enjoyment of civil, economic, social, cultural and political development in which human rights and fundamental freedoms can be realised.

(f) Accountability and rule of law

States and other duty bearers are answerable for the observance of human rights. For this purpose, they have to comply with the legal norms and standards enshrined in human rights instruments. Where they fail to do so, aggrieved rights-holders are entitled to institute proceedings for appropriate redress before a competent court or other adjudicator in accordance with the rules and procedures provided by law.

Calls and Threats by western countries on Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023, violate the very human Rights Principles they agreed on.

As a concerned Ugandan, East African and African at Large, please take keen interest on the impending threats (That are aimed at legalizing Homosexuality among other vices):

  1. The Human Rights Defenders Protection Bill, 2020 (Parliament of Uganda)
  2. The EAC SRH Bill 2021 (The East African Legislative Assembly)
  3. The EU-ACP Trade Treaty (ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, OACPS Parliamentary Assembly, ACP-EU Council of Ministers, OACPS Council of Ministers, ACP-EU Committee of Ambassadors, OACPS Summit)

A Human Rights Approach to Defeat the Homosexual Agenda

Focus on Fundamental Freedoms

Our strongest positions and arguments are those rooted in the defense of our fundamental freedoms: speech, worship, association and conscience. These are not infallible arguments, because anti-family judges and other decision-makers are often so hostile to pro-family views that they are willing to override their own generally staunch support for these freedoms. However, these are the best arguments we have in the current cultural climate. And, frankly, if we ultimately lose these freedoms, the only options left to us will be capitulation or punishment.

what does it mean to focus on fundamental freedoms? It means couching our arguments in the same civil rights language that our opponents have used so effectively for decades. We become the advocates of freedom of speech, they become the advocates of censorship. We become the victims of discrimination, they become the discriminators.

Protect the Victims and the Vulnerable

If the homosexual agenda is ever defeated anywhere, it will likely be through the work and witness of two groups of its victims: recovered homosexuals and those who have been subjected to “gay” indoctrination as public-school children. This sort of social backlash has been seen once before in America: against the drug culture. Much of the country was persuaded in the 1960s to view mind-altering substances as relatively harmless, and the result was an explosion of drug use, and then an avalanche of social problems. What eventually turned the tide against the drug culture? It was the work and witness of former drug addicts. These victims of the drug culture were immune to all of the clever rhetoric and philosophies that had duped the nation and were zealous to protect others from being harmed as they had been. They knew the truth by their own experience, and the word of their testimony was far more powerful than the lies of the adversaries.

The pro-family movement would be well served to learn from this example and devote a substantial portion of its time and resources both to advancing and growing the ex-“gay” movement and to teaching the pro-family perspective to young people.

A pro-family organization called Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) has provided exemplary leadership in utilizing this approach. Their primary goal and ministry emphasis in recent years has been ending discrimination against ex-“gays.” PFOX uses all of the civil rights rhetoric and reasoning that the “gay” movement has employed over the past several decades, but to protect a group of people whom the “gays“ insist cannot exist: former homosexuals. The very existence of ex-“gays” demolishes the “gay” doctrine that homosexuality is innate and unchangeable  and gives real hope to all of the many homosexuals who secretly wish to be rid of their deviation. The PFOX pursuit of equal rights for ex-”gays” in the face of intense opposition and hostility by so-called “civil rights” activists and leaders, exposes the hypocrisy of these pro-“gay” bigots to the watching public.

Importantly, while exposing the truth might not be enough to change things in the short term, it has a powerful influence on both the victims of the “gay” agenda and on all of the fair-minded witnesses now watching in uncomfortable silence. As the number of former homosexuals and former public school “brainwashees” grows, there will come a time when the scale tips against the pro-“gay” bullies, and a culture-changing backlash will ensue.

The Moral Revolution

How did we arrive here?

Modern society often criticizes conservative Christians’ alleged obsession with sexual ethics. However, secular and progressive elites are increasingly the ones forcing the issue, insisting conservatives embrace their worldview and the full spectrum of LGBT policy positions or face social ostracizing, public shaming, or worse.

The “sexual revolution” of the 1960s did not emerge in a vacuum. It resulted from our culture’s shifting views of right and wrong—a moral revolution. Thus, before addressing today’s pressing issues related to sexuality, it is helpful to take a step back and consider how we arrived at where we are today. What key cultural changes created the necessary conditions for the moral revolution and new sexual ethics to take hold? There are at least four cultural developments that paved the way for the moral revolution.

𝐅𝐒𝐫𝐬𝐭, the rise of urbanization offered new opportunities for anonymity. In 1800, 7% of the world’s population lived in cities. Today, 55% of the world’s population lives in dense population centers. By 2050, it is projected that this number will rise to 68%. One of the social effects of the rise of dense population centers is the erosion of community-based accountability that often exists in rural and less populated areas. In other words, the rise of cities helped remove a societal check against premarital and extramarital liaisons by lowering the chance of discovery and exposure.

π’πžπœπ¨π§π, advances in contraceptive technology—such as “the Pill”—separated sex from potential pregnancy in the minds of many people. As Albert Mohler notes, “Once the Pill arrived, with all its promises of reproductive control, the biological check on sexual immorality that had shaped human existence from Adam and Eve forward was removed almost instantaneously.” Whereas before the potential consequence of conceiving a child served as a natural deterrent from premarital or extramarital sex, the Pill allowed for seemingly consequence-free sexual activity.

𝐓𝐑𝐒𝐫𝐝, laws that restricted certain sexual behaviors and conduct were replaced or overturned. E.g in USA For example, access to birth control expanded dramatically following two Supreme Court cases, Griswold v. Connecticut (1965) and Eisenstadt v. Baird (1972). In Griswold v. Connecticut, the Court overturned a state law that prevented married women from accessing birth control. In Eisenstadt v. Baird, the Court extended contraceptive access to unmarried couples. Today, legal precedent has established a broad view of individual liberty regarding personal and intimate decisions. Recent evidence for this includes the Supreme Court’s decision in 2015 to legalize same-sex marriage. Significantly, the majority in this case based their decision on a very expansive view of liberty, arguing the Constitution promises liberty to the extent that people may “define and express their identity.” The culture and mainstream legal philosophy have propagated a new autonomous being who alone may shape their identity and sexual behavior.

π…π’π§πšπ₯π₯𝐲, a fourth development contributing to the moral revolution is Christianity’s loss of cultural influence. According to Pew Research, in 2019, 65% of American adults described themselves as Christian—down 12% points since 2009. In the same time period, the percentage of Americans who identify with no religion has risen to 26%, up from 17% in 2009. The rise in religious “nones” is most pronounced among the younger generations.10 These changes in America’s religious demographics mean that fewer people understand or hold Christian convictions, including those relating to sexual morality.

These four factors have contributed to a cultural, political, and legal environment hostile to Christian beliefs on the nature of marriage and human sexuality. Additional trends—such as cohabitation, absentee fathers, no-fault divorce, pornography, and abortion—have also contributed to the weakening of the family and society’s moral malaise.
